PRINT, CANVAS, AND METAL OPTIONS
You can order prints in a variety of sizes. If you are using a standard size frame (5x7, 8x10, 10x13, 11x14, 16x20) the photo will need to be cropped. This is due to the aspect ratio of digital cameras. The photos straight out of the camera are in a 4x6 ratio. When certain print sizes outside of that ratio are desired, cropping will occur.
If you are having the print professionally framed using a local frame shop in your area or can purchase frames and mats that fit the below dimensions, it is best that you choose from the non-cropped sizes to keep the entire image composition visible in your purchased print. Non-cropped are the print sizes that won't need cropping--most times, these will be 4x6, 6x9, 8x12, 10x15, 12x18, 16x24, 20x30, 24x36, and 30x45. Canvas and Metal Prints are only available in non-cropped sizes.
I understand that large-format artwork is an investment, so if you would like a small proof print before purchasing a canvas or metal print, let me know!
Lustre and Metallic Paper Available Sizes
Kodak Endura Lustre professional photo paper features a fine grain pebble texture and is semi-matte with a light sheen.
Kodak Endura Metallic professional photo paper has a distinctive, eye-catching, metallic look with a glossy finish that creates images with exceptional visual interest and depth. Metallic paper adds a nice pop of color and is recommended for images with vibrant colors and/or lots of contrast.
Photographs on both papers will be printed by a professional photo lab using high-resolution large format inkjet printers with archival inks that will resist fading for 100+ years. Both papers are ideal for color and black & white images.
At this time, I do not offer framed prints through my website. I do sell my work through Fine Art America, and they offer framing at a much better value than I can provide at this time. If you would like a link to a particular image, just send me a note.
Canvas Gallery Wrap and Metal Print Available Sizes
CANVAS GALLERY WRAPS
Canvas Gallery Wraps are created by a professional photo lab with the images being printed directly onto museum quality canvas using high-quality archival inks. The print is then wrapped around a 1 ½” real wood artist's stretcher frame and finished with wire hanging hardware installed. Lustre Laminate is applied to each piece to protect the surface of the print.
Canvas wraps come in two options: Black Wrap Border or Mirror Wrap Border.
Mirror Wrap Border will create a 1 1/2- inch mirror image of the edge of the photo. This will keep the photo from being cropped when wrapped.
Wire Hanger Detail
Canvas gallery wraps can be hung unframed and directly onto a wall.
Metal prints are one of the newest, most striking, and durable way to showcase fine art pieces. The metal print creation process is called dye sublimation where a special transfer paper is applied to a sheet of high gloss aluminum with a polymer coating. The paper is changed from a solid to a gas and fused directly into the surface of the aluminum. Because the image is infused into the surface and not on it, the image takes on an almost magical luminescence. The ultra-hard scratch-resistant surface is waterproof/weatherproof and can be cleaned easily – just avoid direct sunlight.
Metal prints have a brilliant high gloss surface for unsurpassed detail and vibrancy. People who see these metal prints for the first time in person comment on the incredible resolution, color, and clarity. The print is finished with a hidden 1/2 inch float block on the back, allowing you to hang the piece on the wall so that the print appears to be "floating" slightly in front of the wall and your choice of sharp or rounded corners.*
*Sharp Square Corners, can be quite sharp and should be handled with care. I recommend ordering Rounded Corners on Metal Prints that will be displayed in areas where people may be close to or seated underneath the Metal Prints.
Float Mount Hangers are attached to the back of the metal print and float the print 1/2-inch off the wall when hung.
Metal Prints Quality Control and Care
Metal Print panels are coated using state-of-the-art coating machines. But the coating sometimes contains small imperfections such as small craters or bumps. My photo lab inspects each sheet very carefully and if there are imperfections they place them in the most unobtrusive parts of the image. They cannot remake Metal Prints due to these imperfections unless they are located in a very prominent part of the image. MetalPrints are weatherproof and moisture proof, but they will fade like a normal photograph, so please avoid direct sunlight.
Metal Prints can be cleaned without harming the print surface by using non-ammonia glass cleaner, water, or isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol. It's recommended using a clean, lint-free cloth to wipe off the print. No cleaners containing ammonia, abrasives, or corrosive chemicals should be used.
