New Hampshire only has 18 miles of coast, the least amount for any state in the US, and doesn't include the Isles of Shoals six miles off the coast. There are 5 lighthouses in New Hampshire. Portsmouth Harbor and Isles of Shoals/White Island are on the coast.
Three are located on Sunapee Lake from the days when steamships carried passengers to posh hotels and family estates that dotted the shoreline.
I have photographed all 5 of New Hampshire's lighthouses! Yeah!
